Katie Braband

BrabandKatie Braband is director of marketing and channel development for Anchor, a Bay Area company that is a leading provider of cloud-sync, sharing and collaboration for IT professionals. Katie, who has extensive knowledge of the Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Value Added Resellers (VAR) communities, is recognized as a global leader in the field and was named to Nine Lives Media’s MSPmentor 250 list, identifying the world’s top managed services executives and entrepreneurs.

Those who worked with Katie when she was an account executive for the Daily Wildcat will have no problem believing her rapid success.  She led the sales staff in ad revenue for four consecutive semesters and  received the George B. Morley Award for Achievement in Advertising and Business.

A 2007 graduate from the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the Eller College of Management,  Katie began her career  as an associate with the financial services giant UBS. She was selected by senior management to help the former Lehman Brothers transition $2 billion in assets to UBS Private Wealth Management. In her time at UBS, she also obtained Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.

In 2009 Katie joined Datto Inc., a Connecticut-based provider of back up, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. As vice president for business development, Katie built an extensive partner program and created and implemented the company’s channel-only sales strategy, and launched her career in this field. Before joining Anchor, she was vice president for channel development for PathSolutions in Santa Clara, Calif., and later regional sales manager for Axcient in Mountain View, Calif.
