Cheryl Liu, who spent eight years in media with the Santa Monica ad agency Rubin Postaer and Associates, recently was hired as director of media planning in the LA office of Lowe Campbell Ewald, part of the global marketing giant Interpublic Group.
An associate media director for digital media when she left RPA, Cheryl led and executed successful multi-media campaigns with a heavy emphasis on Honda brands, including CR-V, Pilot and Civic. Among her campaigns for Honda was the widely-acclaimed 2012 Super Bowl commercial for CR-V, “Matthew’s Day Off”, featuring Matthew Broderick in a take-off on his Fuerris Bueller role.Her accolades include a Webby Award nominee, a Jay Chiat Award for Strategic Excellence and an IAB MiXX Award for Viral Execution.
Cheryl, who earned her B.S. in marketing and entrepreneurship from the Eller College, worked four years at the Daily Wildcat, eventually serving as sales manager.
