When Nancy Kerrigan was attacked, Mary Alice (we’re both former skaters) got a note to Nancy’s camp at my request. A few days later, I had that story on the air. Nancy is still a good friend and Mary Alice has become a best friend. I would add to Mary Alice’s profile that she is also one of the funniest people I know and has an encyclopedic knowlege of theatre, music, dance, fashion and art. She does not live by food and travel alone and her friends have had the pleasure of sharing her extraordinary taste from the best restaurants in town to staring at a galaxy of stars on the beach of her beloved Sag Harbor.
