I missed that event, I was editor of Wildcat in 1955-56. This was in Doug Martin era.. I was a young female…and my appointment caused a lot of controversy–and I know that seems incredible in these times. Wildcat was still a weekly…but weekly Wildcat did some good stuff…despite having a female editor. I know that period is not of interest now,,,but I will try to attend next Hall of Fame event.

Not to be picky, but i think that if you check the old mastheads from ’54-’55, you will find that “Herbert Stoker” is actually Herb Stokoe. Once an editor, always an editor, I guess.
